Fun 4th of July Food Ideas FIREWORKS

Happy 4th of July everyone! this is often one among my favorite family holidays. Good food, friends, parades and FIREWORKS!

Here are a 3 of my favorite Fun 4th of July Food Ideas I just know you’re getting to love!

1. TACO SALAD FLAG

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger or vegetarian crumble
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning or 2 TBSP of my DIY Taco Seasoning
  • 4-6 cups tortilla chips
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup pitted large olives sliced lengthwise
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 2-3 cups cherry tomatoes

Method

  1. In a large skillet, cook beef over a medium heat until meat is not any longer pink. Drain off any extra grease. Next, stir within the water, salsa and taco seasoning. bring back a simmer and cook uncovered for about 10 minutes, or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
  2. Place chips during a 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Next spread beef evenly over the highest of chips.
  3. Cover beef with a layer of lettuce.
  4. Arrange olive slices together within the upper left corner to make stars. For the stripes, alternate tomatoes and cheese. I added a few extra chips to the side of the dish for a few extra crunch.

NOTE: If you’re making this several hours beforehand , i might skip placing the chips at rock bottom of the taco salad and just serve them on the side.

Optional: I also wish to drizzle a touch little bit of Italian dressing over the individual servings

2. FRUIT FLAD DESSERT

Ingredients

  • 5-6 cups of red fresh fruit. I used cherries, strawberries and raspberries
  • 2 cups of blueberries
  • 3 cups of yogurt or chocolate covered pretzels

Method

  1. Wash fresh fruit and dry. Lay out fruit and pretzels to represent the flag stripes, and place alittle bowl of blueberries on the highest left.

3. 4TH OF JULY BREAKFAST

Ingredients

  • 2 sliceds of toast
  • 2 TB strawberry or raspberry jam
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/3 cup fresh blueberries

Method

  1. Spread 1 TB of jam on each bit of toast. Arrange blueberries and banana slices on toast to from a flag. Enjoy!
